$149review + a phone call with the engineer

What you get

  • A registered engineer reviews your photos, measurements and plan
  • A short phone call to talk it through
  • A written preliminary opinion on what's likely involved
  • Clear next steps — and your $149 comes off a site inspection if you book one

What it isn't

  • It is not an engineering certificate
  • It is not approval to start building
  • It can't replace a site inspection of your actual structure
  • It's a preliminary opinion to guide your decision — nothing more

📍 The Desktop Review is available anywhere. Site inspections cover Sydney & greater Sydney; for the rest of NSW, the ACT and Newcastle we'll provide a quote due to travel distance.

What to have ready

Get these together before you start — you'll upload them in the form.

Photos & plan

  • One photo from outside showing the whole building
  • A photo of the wall from one side
  • A photo of the wall from the other side
  • A floor plan — or a rough sketch with measurements

Tip: you can usually find a floor plan on the realestate.com.au listing for the property.

Measurements

  • Width of the opening you want
  • Height of the wall / ceiling
  • Wall thickness and what it's made of
  • Length of the wall

Roughly is fine — the engineer will confirm everything.
